Medical Transport Options

Depending on the patient's medical needs and that of the family will help determine which option is appopriate. We inform you of all the pros and cons of each option and what they will cost and how long each will take.

Air ambulances are the quickest, they can transport non-emergency to critical care patients. They are practically flying ICU units whose medical staff include experienced ICU/CCU certified flight nurses, advanced life support paramedics and respiratory therapist. Each patient is evaluated and the proper medical flight team is assigned.

Aircraft

By Jet - the fastest and longest range option.

By Twin Engine Prop - slower than a jet yet more economical.

Depending on the seriousness of the patient's condition either option is capable of transporting an additional passenger at no extra charge. Luggage though is limited.

Ground Ambulance

For patients in stable condition long distance ground ambulance transports are available along the East Coast to more than 24 states from Florida to Canada by our ground division Ambucare .
